New manager Paul Buckle had some big shoes to come in and
fill and an even bigger crowd to please. If the Hatters pre-season is a true
sign of things to come then I think those shoes are so full they are near to
overflowing!
With only one defeat in eight games and netting an amazing
thirteen goals Buckles men were not taking these friendlies lightly. Impressive
performances came from Luton’s youth products including fan favourite Adam Watkins.
Dean Beckwith was given a chance to shine and grabbed it with both hands. New
faces were seen with trial runs for Yaser Kasim and Ronnie Henry and old faces
were seen when fans were re-introduced to ex Hatters keeper Dean Brill.
All in all the team showed a strong and attacking force, one
who could not only score goals but defend them as well. And with some new faces
replacing the ones of yesterday we can only hope Buckle can be the man to take
this team back into the league.
