Be You (But Better)

I am really bad at New Year’s resolutions and don’t think I have ever been able to keep one for an extended period of time.


This year, I have decided not to set myself any resolutions that I will feel bad about breaking within a few weeks. Instead I have decided to set goals. These are not things I will be giving up or promises made to myself that everybody knows are unachievable.

I have decided to just work hard, every day, to be a little bit better than I was the day before. I know it sounds cliché to try and ‘be a better you’ but I have already seen little changes in the way I think.

The two main things I wanted to improve were to sleep more and drink more.
I do try and get to bed as early as possible but also find myself watching pants TV at unsociable hours of the night.
I also try to drink as much water but it is something I know I can improve, to help me I have brought a new water bottle that I make sure I have with me at home and am constantly topping up. I haven’t set myself a daily target but I have tried replacing my morning coffee with a morning water. I’m not sure how effective it is yet but I will keep you posted.

    1. I have found drinking more water a lot easier than I thought. Still working on the sleeping though. Have you set yourself any goals?
