I know what half of you are thinking; how can my 182nd post be discussing my first time?
I know what the other half are thinking; and no, I will not be discussing that first time!
I am sitting here, fairly well rested and very heavily medicated, as I think back to one of the most memorable weeks to date.
What made it so memorable? It was a week of firsts!
It started off with the first time I had driven out of the county with my mechanical knee - this was something I had been dreading but felt great when we arrived at our final destination.
Once there, another first was the first time I had driven a boat on the Norfolk Broads. Driving the boat was great fun, the weather was great which meant the water was calm but driving through the Potter Heigham bridge only a few minutes into the journey was definitely another first experience to remember!
After settling in to our beautiful cottage on Saturday, Sunday was another day full of firsts:
Our first time visiting Norwich, my first time seeing Ash perform, (my first time hearing a lot of Ash songs in fact - there will be a more in depth blog to folow) my first gig with my mechanical knee, leading to my first gig being sat next to the stage, my first set list from a gig and ending in my first shot of Jager on the Broads of October '18!
The week also lent itself to our first seal of '18 at Horsey beach and our first visit to the café on the edge of the cliff. I tasted my first Norfolk Shortbread (and my second, and maybe even my third!) We took our first drive through many country roads and managed to stick to a budget in the arcades for the first time EVER!
The week wasn't so full of amazing firsts though - this was our first visit to Norfolk that didn't involve crazy golf. It was our first week away with my mechanical knee meaning we took the week a LOT slower than usual. But, looking back, it was another week thoroughly enjoyed and I wouldn't change a thing (apart from maybe beating the boy at crazy golf!!)
So, after tackling my first blog post of 2018, you better believe this won't be my last!
.xx.
