WANTED: A manager with a clue

Since Luton Town have been demoted to the dark non-league of the Blue Square Premier they haven’t managed to find a way back up to league football.

Something that has been a consistent headache for Hatters fans has been management; whether it has been letting top players go, playing people out of position or sitting players on the bench there has always been someone stood in between Luton Town and League 2.

Only months after lifting a cup at Wembley, ‘Luton legend’ Mick Harford left under mutual agreement with the club. Next up, Richard Money who said goodbye to some of the Towns best players but still managed to take his team to the play off's. With with no success of promotion Money’s second in command Gary Brabin was ready and waiting to step into his boots as he left the club. Brabin led another failed attempt in the play offs but ensured fans he was aiming for nothing less than League 2. A more than rocky season and failure to even guarantee a play-off position led to his departure this week.

Personally I think it has been a long time coming and is now just too little too late, for this season at least.

But instead of moaning about his predecessors, the new Luton manager should be able to learn from their mistakes. Don’t let players go that want to be at the club, don’t play a striker at right back, don’t leave the top goal scorer on the bench for 80 minutes!

It all sounds so simple I know so why can Luton not find someone to do it?!
