The Autumn Tag

I don’t normally get involved with the thousands of tags that travel the bloggersphere but when I saw one labelled ‘The Autumn Tag’ I had to add my entry. 

Autumn, or fall for the Americans, is my favourite time of year so I thought I would share with you some of the reasons why and some of the things I love to do in these not still hot, not yet cold months!

1. Okay, we’re talking coffee. What is your favourite seasonal drink?

I live off of coffee all year around but I love a big jar of mocha as the nights get darker. Another favourite hot drink is hot chocolate but when I make them they have to be just right including flavourings, marshmallows and whipped cream on top!

2. Accessories – what do you opt for – boots, scarf or gloves?

As much as I enjoy the temperature dropping, I hate layering up so it would have to be near freezing outside for me to opt for a scarf or gloves. I do love boots and own a few pairs, although I have worn my favourite pair close to death so will need to be investing in some more this year.

3. Music – what do you love to listen to during the autumn?

I have headphones permanently surrounding my ears so music isn’t a seasonal thing for me. Saying that, I do tend to listen to more acoustic music around this time of year, so my iPod plays a lot more Boyce Avenue and Colbie Caillat than usual. 

4. Perfume – what is your favourite scent at this time of year?

I tend to change my perfumes quite frequently; today I found a Victoria’s Secret bag containing 3 perfumes I had forgotten I bought from duty free! Inside the bag was; Love Spell, Secret Charm, and Midnight Exotics, Forbidden Vanilla. I haven’t had a proper smell of them all but at first sniff Forbidden Vanilla is definitely my favourite autumn / winter scent. 

5. Candles – which scents will you be burning this season?

One of my favourite things about when autumn comes around is being able to burn my pumpkin candles again. I have had sweet cinnamon pumpkin, spiced pumpkin, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin latte candles sat on my shelf waiting to be distributed around my house and lit.

6. What do you love most about autumn?

I think the scenery is absolutely beautiful; nature really produces some breath taking sights around this time of year. I also love how I can snuggle up in my onesie and watch bad TV whilst drinking gallons of hot chocolate almost guilt-free! A massive thing in autumn is Halloween, I really do love this celebration, but more about that in another post!

7. Favourite make up look right now?

I tend to go very minimal all year round but I do think autumn is definitely a good time of year to try out new things. I try to go bold as we come into winter and dare bright lips, dark eyes and even coloured blush. A standard go to make up look would just consist of eyeliner and Baby Lips for an everyday occasion though!

8. What are you looking forward to most during this season?

Eating buckets of candy corn, getting dressed up for Halloween, visiting the big city, welcoming my boots back into my everyday wardrobe, and the countdown to Christmas beginning.
