Canadia, eh?

Last Tuesday was the day Canada celebrated their independence, so working with a Canadian, and looking for any excuse for a celebration we put on a Canada Day party!

As the actual day was a Tuesday, and we were all at work, we decided to surprise the Canadian with some little treats to remind her of home. We had maple syrup and bacon for breakfast, I made some red and white Canadian biscuits and we decorated her door with some stereotypical Canadian pictures.

I spent the day trying to talk with a Canadian twang, singing Justin Bieber and asking everyone what they were talking ‘aboot’?

That Saturday however, we threw a real party where my friends decorated their house in red and white with balloons, banners and lays. We made red and white cocktails, ate white chocolate dipped strawberries and dressed all in red and white. We then headed into town where me and my friend set ourselves the challenge of informing the public about Canada Day and asking as many people as we could to wish Canadia a Happy Canada Day.
