Cheese And Cake?

As I mentioned a few days ago I have been getting all creative and decided my outlet was cakes. A while ago my sister was told she couldn’t eat gluten and as much as she tries to follow the rules one thing she does miss is cheesecake. (And sausage rolls, and bread, and big macs, and fish and chips but none of those would fit this post!)

For my sisters birthday I decided as she couldn’t eat a traditional birthday cake I would make her a cheese cake, but probably not how you have seen a cheese cake before. I made her a cake made out of cheese!

So I went to my local supermarket and ordered a basket full of different cheeses making sure I got different textures and colours to add dimension to my cake. I also picked up some grapes and a bag of Babybels for decoration.

To make the cake I used circle cookie cutters to cut the cheese into the cakes tiers and then used star cookie cutters to make some decorations. I placed the circles on top of each other and then some stars on the top. Around the bottom I placed some stars and grapes to add colour, I put a Babybel on the top.

This is not a cake I would eat but if you know any cheese lovers this is a really unique cake that is super quick and easy to make but really does stand out.
