Made With Love

Today is my Mums birthday and I wanted to share with you all what I made/bought her for her birthday. It may also give you some ideas for a birthday for a special woman in your life as this isn’t just for Mums.



In simple terms I got a travel wash/vanity bag and filled it with lots of goodies that I knew/thought my Mum would love and use. I thought I would break it down and show you everything that is inside.

Some of these things were bought separately and some were in sets that I just took out to put in this bag. To start off I picked this gorgeous silver bag from TK Maxx that is covered in this colourful gem pattern. I liked this bag as it had 2 nice sized pockets and could be used when travelling as a wash bag and to keep some of these things in.

The first thing I chose was perfume gift set and is Ted Baker Polly that came with a perfume bottle, body wash and bath gem. This scent is really nice and something I thought my Mum would use and I like to buy matching body washes with perfume as it makes the scent stronger and last longer.

I then went a bit crazy in Boots and stocked up! I got a Spiced Apple set from Nip + Fab that I absolutely love and thought my Mum would love this scent too. I got a set of body butters from Pretty Patisserie that again, smell gorgeous. They come in lemon, strawberry and peppermint crème but my favourite is definitely the peppermint. I also got a set of 4 bath eggs that unfortunately I don’t know their brand but they look super cute all wrapped in patterned paper and I had to have them as well. Lastly from Boots I got my Mum travel size bottles of the TRESemme shampoo and conditioner she uses for when she is travelling.

I picked up this cute Hello Kitty tin from Sainsbury’s as my Mum is a big Hello Kitty fan and I thought rather than in her wash bag she could keep this tin on her desk. I was unaware this tin contained make up inside, this make up was obviously meant for kids and I couldn’t imagine my Mum using it so I took the make-up out but kept the little Hello Kitty figurine and put a loofa in the tin.

That is all that I managed to cram into the travel bag but I did also buy my Mum a set of Salted Caramel Yankee Candle tea lights and a Cherry Tango car freshener, both of which smell delightful and will both be well loved by my Mum.
