With new long and 100% all mine nails I can finally enjoy painting them and making them something I want people to look at and having a best friend with a best friend with a nail polish addiction is a massive plus!
I have been using a range of different brands, all affordable, and trying out lots of different colours from matte black to luminous yellow.
Lauren has brought me some really awesome nail gifts, she got me a pack of nail stickers for Christmas and then just after she got me a really cool owl shaped nail care kit. In the kit were all of the nail essentials as well as some really cute moustache nail files.
I have used the kit so much since Lauren gave it to me and have tried both designs in the nail stickers and they are super easy to use but look so effective and I have received so many comments about them.
I have used the nail stickers a few times and on a variety of base colours. I am currently wearing a Sinful Colours luminous yellow green with a black owl silhouette sticker on my ring finger. The stickers are so easy to use and reminded me of the transfer tattoos you used to get in the bubble gum when I was little.
I don’t think I have a favourite nail colour yet or brand but I have been absolutely loving the Barry M matte nail range as well as the bright Avon glossy nail colours. I am trying to build up my collection so am buying a lot of affordable brands from Boots but I know that I will be splurging on some polishes when I head to Manchester in a few weeks, one I already have my eye on is the matte top coat by Urban Outfitters.
I am a massive lover of layering up my nails so always do multiple layers of base coats under the colour as well as top coats after the colour. My favourite base and top coat is the Collection protective layer that prevents splitting and peeling, I have tried A LOT of protective base and top coats and been let down by most of them and always find myself going back to my trusty bottle of Collection.
