Countdown to Christmas – 19th December 2014

Another Christmas tradition is Secret Santa. This is where people pull names out of a hat, in a work place or a group of friends or within a family, and agree on a budget and then buy presents for their person in secret.

I have done this with friends before and done it at work this year. I was quite happy with the person I was shopping for so found it fairly easy to buy some gifts. I wrapped them in generic brown paper but made them pretty with red ribbon and a bow. I then asked one of my friends to write the name so my handwriting wouldn’t give me away.

I was super happy with my secret Santa gifts this year and even though I don’t know who my Santa was I did give everyone in the room a massive thank you as the gifts were so me!

I received a flashing light tankard that I plan on using at work; it is seriously like a rave in a cup, and I also received a doodle notebook with my name printed on the front! I love anything with my name on it as they generally have to be made especially thanks to my not common name so this gift was so thoughtful and unique that I know my Santa had put a lot of thought and effort into my gift. I also love to doodle so it is perfect for those meetings where I will be ‘taking notes’.

Do you do Secret Santa with anyone? What did you buy/receive this year?
