Countdown to Christmas – 2nd December 2014

One thing that gets me excited about Christmas is coffee, I know Costa will have some amazing coffee treats for me at this time of year and they will all be served to me in cute take out cups.

I have already tried a few drinks on their festive list this year and have been particularly won over by the praline cappuccino and the sticky toffee latte. I will always love the gingerbread and cream latte, if only for the teeny tiny gingerbread man they stick on the top, or dunk in head first depending on your barista!

I have set myself the challenge of trying every festive drink they offer this year although I am not quite sure if I could stomach a black forest hot chocolate.

I am very excited and slightly worried for my bank balance by the news that a Costa is opening within a 4 minute walk from my house. Is it possible to have too many Costa’s?

Costa are also offering their Christmas cups in ceramic this year and if I was someone that could drink out of a ceramic cup I would love to take one with me to work every day this month.

I also love to make a little hot chocolate of my own and am becoming a massive fan of the Options salted caramel sachets. Mix the powder with a little bit of milk, stir in some marshmallows and then fill with hot water to make your own cup of salted caramel heaven! If you want to go all out add some more marshmallows on top, squirt with whipped cream and caramel sauce before sprinkling some salt rock on top.
