I have been far less organised this year than ever before as I normally write my list and have most of my shopping completed before we get too far in to December and the shops really start to crowd. I am only just starting to work on my list and have only purchased a small percentage of gifts; I am not the best elf this year!
Without a list I end wandering through shops aimlessly and picking up things I either don’t want, don’t need or have no idea who I will give it to. The things that always seem so logical when in the shops seem so silly in the harsh light of the outside world!
My plan from now on though is to complete my list and head out on Saturday morning with my list in one hand and purse in the other and not return home until a large chunk of my shopping is done. I will feel a little more relaxed knowing that on Christmas morning nobody will know what a panicky little elf I was only 20 days ago!
