My BFF Lauren came over tonight and we indulged in fast food and slow nails! With bellies full of the colonel’s finest chicken we set about making our nails ready for the festive season. Lauren had her eyes set on a super sparkly glittery gold number whilst I wanted traditional red and green.
Lauren used a gorgeous green/gold base colour from Little Mix’s new range from Collection simply called ‘Jades Nail Polish’ and topped that with some generous coats of Barry M ‘Yellow Topaz Glitter’.
The Little Mix colour went on beautifully and was a solid colour with just a couple of coats, Lauren knew she wanted a FULL coverage of glitter she put a few more layers of glitter on and every millimetre of her nails glistened.
The red I used was ‘Red Robin’ from the Natural Collection and the green was ‘Jalapeno Fashion Show’ by Avon. Both colours only needed two coats and then I decided to top them both with a bit of sparkle to really add some Christmas cheer.
I topped the red nails with Barry M 341, a clear polish with tinsel style glitter specks. I then topped the green nails with Barry M 347, a silver glitter polish with multi-coloured shimmer.
I think both of our sets of nails look gorgeous and Lauren did an amazing job of them both. Evenings spent like this really are what Christmas is all about. Sat with my best friend and my Mum, Dear John playing in the background, eating too much food and laughing and joking all night long.
What are your favourite nail colours this season?
