Countdown to Christmas – December 22nd 2013

For someone who despises wool, I love getting cosy at Christmas time. Whilst snuggling up safe from the freezing temperatures, hugging a massive cup of hot chocolate and catching up on rubbish television, I know Christmas is nearly here.

Not only am I a big fan of my new Christmas jumper (that I have made sure I got a lot of wear out of), I also love my Father Christmas onesie to wrap up with in the evenings.

I don’t do layers so I am not one who will wear t-shirts under jumpers under cardigans, however, I do love wrapping up with a nice big scarf and under my new favourite Keep It Bright 'Gryffindor' hat.

Long socks are another cosy favourite this year; I have been pairing them with dresses, skirts and shorts. Wearing them with boots, shoes and plimsolls and I have bought them in different colours this year to match a lot more of my clothes.

When I am just lounging around the house (as I only ever have time to do at Christmas) I love to get nice and cosy. Long pyjama trousers are a must for my lazy days and my current favourites are some turquoise bird print ones I picked up half price at Sainsbury’s last week.

I am also a big lover of a onesie and own a few different colour ones but the one I get most wear out of in December is my Santa onesie, it’s super warm and really baggy so perfect for snuggling into. It also has feet with grips on the bottom so I don’t slide around the house.

What are your cosy winter essentials?
