Here I am sat in my new owl jumper with my hair in a pineapple drinking yet more grape soda and thinking how I could condense yesterday into just a couple of hundred words. I don’t think I can!
I will not be listing to you everything I received from Santa, so if that’s what you are looking for then sorry, you won’t get that here.
Yesterday for me wasn’t about presents (although I am extremely grateful for everything I did receive), I had an awesome day spent with family and made some everlasting memories.
As always I was up and itching to start the day early, but given the strict instruction not to even think about moving before 8am. As always on Christmas Day, Dad cooks the breakfast and the only thing opened before that is our stockings.
I did sort of cheat and open one of my presents at midnight but the only rule I was given was to wait until Christmas Day so as soon as the clock turned and the date changed to the 25th I had not broken any rules!
After breakfast we did the presents and then played some games whilst waiting for dinner to be ready. We then all sat down to fill our plates and eat more than we had room for. We pulled our crackers, told our jokes and sat around in our silly paper hats.
After dinner we played the family games (we had 2 this year as Mum and my brother bought one), they were Yahtzee Classic and The Chase. Turns out I am really bad at rolling dice so was exceptionally poor at Yahtzee! My general knowledge is probably not what it should be but I think I chose an equally weak chaser and managed to secure £3000 back for the team.
After games we just chilled out watching Christmas re-runs and snoozing before I gave in to my heavy eyelids and called it a night for another year.
Boxing Day is another big family day for me filled with fun, games and food so I am refreshed and ready to do it all again.
I hope you are having just as blessed a time as me over the holiday period and loving every minute.
