The pantomime was a take on the story of Snow White, and Hannah was one of the sisters. Her costume was a lilac bridesmaid dress from the 80's complete with a sword!
The show was written by one of the actors Ross Campbell, who wrote, directed and starred in the show. The script contained jokes for all ages in the audience and featured songs from Queen and Les Miserables.
The banter between the audience and the performance was funny, the narrator dealt with the hecklers brilliantly and it added extra humour to an already funny show.
For a small village performance the turnout was great, they celebrated three sell out shows over the weekend. The effort that was put in was clear as the performance was clean at all the right times and when things didn’t go to script it was laughed off and made part of the show.
The interval was about 20 minutes where I treated myself and my Mum to a cup of tea and homemade snowflake biscuit.
Overall, I was pleasantly entertained by the show and it provided the right level of excitement for Christmas with the carols at the end, and a festive Christmas hat worn by the drummer.
I am planning to go and see another pantomime this year so will be sure to give you a review on that one as well.
