Countdown to Christmas – December 4th 2013

If you have been to any public place in the past week, or watched anything on a television, or turned on a radio, you will have been surrounding by one of my favourite things about Christmas – the music.

Nothing gets me more excited than a bit of Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree! The old classics are mostly the best but I do have to admit to being a sucker for the modern twists that new artists bring to the mix. Justin Bieber singing Drummer Boy is the best version of that song I have heard and could listen to that all year round.

Even the slow ones get me dancing down the aisles in Sainsburys whilst dreaming of a White Christmas.
Christmas Number 1 was always a massive thing when I was growing up (before the days of X Factor), I remember Mr Blobby getting the top spot, a few appearances by the Spice Girls and of course I remember Bob the Builder beating Westlife to the top spot in 2000.

Christmas videos are another guilty pleasure of mine, all the fake snow and the dress up Santa’s, I get lost in all that cheese and I love it. A favourite video definitely has to be S Club Juniors take on Puppy Love with the polystyrene snow!

Do you bop along to the Christmas classics? What’s your favourite festive tune?
