As I am not a fan of Christmas cake I was planning on doing a flavoured sponge cake, I was thinking ginger cake with some spices to make it feel more Christmassy!
I hadn’t given too much thought about the shape or decoration of my cake as for me the main part is the taste; however, my mind has been changed.
I still put a lot of pressure on the taste but I have had my eyes open to the varieties in shape and style of my cake.
I will definitely be doing some shopping tomorrow ready for a busy day baking next week. I have everything I need for the gingerbread cakes and tiffin I mentioned before that I will be giving as little presents but now I will be looking for all sorts of wonderful and sparkly cake decorations.
