We Are Family

I mentioned a lot over my Christmas blogs that I was spending time with family, and I still stick to what I said, so yes Lauren you ARE family.

2K13

It’s that time of year when everybody gets very reflective and deep, looking back on their previous 12 months as well as forward onto the next ones.

The Morning After

First of all I would just like to say I hope every single one of you had the best day yesterday doing whatever it was you do, whether you were celebrating Christmas or not.

Christmas Crafts

Okay so there are not too many crafty things in this blog, mainly baking, but I loved the alliteration in the title so forgive me please?

Countdown to Christmas – December 24th 2013

Here we are, the final day in my Countdown to Christmas series. As excited as I am about the big day being in a matter of hours, I am also super bummed that this will be the last daily blog I do for you guys in this series.

Warming Up My December

As you definitely know by now I went to see Boyzone last week, and not only were the 4 boyz amazing (read all about that here) but they had an equally talented support act.

Countdown to Christmas – December 23rd 2013

I’m not sure about you but at Christmas there is always that one emergency that crops up on me that I have not or could not prepare for. Today was that day!

Twenty Years Later

Firstly, to clear things up, I am not writing the worst ending to the Harry Potter series ever imagined!

I am talking about a group of men who have been one of my biggest musical influences. A group who have taken a lot of my firsts; my first crush, first love, first cassette tape, first cd, first concert, the list does go on.

Countdown to Christmas – December 22nd 2013

For someone who despises wool, I love getting cosy at Christmas time. Whilst snuggling up safe from the freezing temperatures, hugging a massive cup of hot chocolate and catching up on rubbish television, I know Christmas is nearly here.

Countdown to Christmas – December 21st 2013

An essential for me at Christmas is a salted caramel latte. I first came across these when I was in America and for years was waiting for a coffee shop to start serving these in the UK.

Countdown to Christmas – December 20th 2013

A big part of Christmas is the cake and this year I will be making one. I saw a lot of inspiration whilst walking around the little lanes of Brighton as there were so many little tea shops and cafes with beautiful cakes on display.

Countdown to Christmas – December 19th 2013

Last night I spent a couple of hours singing at the top of my lungs to 4 ‘boyz’ I grew up with…Boyzone.

Wednesday, 18 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 18th 2013

So, I can tell you the first part of the big surprise…I am currently sat in a hotel room in Brighton writing this blog.

Tuesday, 17 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 17th 2013

So it’s happened, I’ve been hit by the ‘Christmas cold’. I am currently feeling 150% sorry for myself as I empty my third box of tissues and try to tackle my fifth Lemsip of the day!

Monday, 16 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 16th 2013

I cannot quite believe I am already sitting here writing my 16th daily blog with just over a week to go until the big day. I must admit, at first, I was daunted by the daily blogging idea and don’t think I truly understood the massive commitment it was until about day 4.

Sunday, 15 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 15th 2013

Christmas is the time of year when you are allowed to eat as much as you want guilt free, with all the nice treats in the supermarkets and the meals out, the food is one of the best things about Christmas.

Saturday, 14 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 14th 2013

Christmas is the best excuse to get creative, to get your fingers sticky as you dive into pots of glue, glitter and sugar!

Friday, 13 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 13th 2013

Christmas jumpers are growing more and more popular every year and today I took part in ‘Christmas Jumper Day’. We raised money for Save The Children by looking silly in our festive pullovers.

Thursday, 12 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 12th 2013

One of the big Christmas traditions in our house is the stockings. They hang from the banister every year and every Christmas morning when I wake up my stocking has been filled.

Wednesday, 11 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 11th 2013

Getting ready for Christmas isn’t just about decorating a tree, wrapping presents and filling up your freezers. As much as all of those are exciting, it’s also the season to spend a bit of time on you, and tonight I did just that.

Tuesday, 10 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 10th 2013

By my own admittance I am one of the really annoying people at Christmas time! I am absolutely in love with this time of year, the bright lights and festive cheer, however, ask me what I want for Christmas and you will get an “I don’t know” or “nothing really” response.

Monday, 9 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 9th 2013

Obviously a massive part of Christmas is the tree and a real one is always the best option, even taking into account the needles and the weight and the fact it will only last one Christmas. Today I went on the hunt for the perfect tree, and am pretty chuffed with what I found!

Sunday, 8 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 8th 2013

Obviously at Christmas everything has to be red, green or gold and as gold or green lips are yet to become a trend I am sticking to red this December.

Saturday, 7 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 7th 2013

With Christmas time comes many traditions, and one of the biggest ones every year is the pantomimes. So when my friend told me she was performing in her local show I had to go and watch her and I know what you’re thinking; “oh no you didn’t”. But I can tell you, oh yes I did. (See what I did there?)

Friday, 6 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 6th 2013

A massive part of Christmas every year is always decorating the tree. So I thought it was only fair to let you share in the fun with me this year as I do the tree at work.

Pavement Picasso

Something I love is drawing and even though I am (very) late to find out about these, I have fallen in love with Crayola’s sidewalk chalk.

Countdown to Christmas – December 5th 2013

It’s a crazy thought that in three weeks Christmas day will have been and gone. But, with this in mind I am making sure that I am 100% Christmas day ready with plenty of time to spare this year.

Wednesday, 4 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 4th 2013

If you have been to any public place in the past week, or watched anything on a television, or turned on a radio, you will have been surrounding by one of my favourite things about Christmas – the music.

Tuesday, 3 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas –December 3rd 2013

Today I will be discussing something as common at Christmas time as mince pies and crackers… Scrooges. The ‘Bah Humbug’ crew who think Christmas is over rated, over hyped and not over soon enough!

Monday, 2 December 2013

Countdown to Christmas – December 2nd 2013

As I mentioned yesterday I have done a lot of my Christmas shopping already, so today I will share some gift ideas (or at least one) with you for the hardest person I have to shop for – my Dad!

Sunday, 1 December 2013

Countdown To Christmas – December 1st 2013

One of the most exciting things about December is opening my advent calendar and starting the ‘official’ countdown to Christmas. So, I decided to share that excitement with you!

Wednesday, 27 November 2013

Luton Town V Southport

The Hatters moved up to second place last night after goals from McNulty, Smith and Gray against Southport in the Skrill Premier.

Saturday, 23 November 2013

Luton Town V Welling

After 6 consecutive games away from Kenilworth Road it felt like the beginning of the season all over again dusting the cobwebs of my seat today.

Thursday, 14 November 2013

Join Me In The Tub

Following a summer without football, and consequently a number of free hours on a Saturday afternoon, I have become a great lover of the bath. And with way too much money invested into Lush than the average person, when I decide to have a bath I do it right!

Words Are Not Just For Nerds

Among other things I am known for being a slow reader, however, reading is something I simply love to do.
Which is why I am embarrassed to be telling you that I have not read half as much as I could have (or should have) this year, something I had not realised until recently when browsing my local bookshop.

Falling In Love

Okay, so I know in the UK we don’t call this time of year ‘Fall’ but it was really hard to play around with the word ‘Autumn’.

But once you’ve got past that I am going to share with you why this group of months is my absolute favourite time of year.

Hashtag Horrors

Something my friend and I (and a lot of other people) are not too keen on is the recurring popping up of the ugly hashtag heads.

Saturday, 31 August 2013

Box Mix Baker

I love a bit of baking as much as the next Mr Hollywood but throw in a busy schedule and take out the hundreds of pounds of kitchen equipment sometimes I am drawn in by a box mix.

I am not too much of a baking snob to turn my nose up at opening a packet, adding the minimum of ingredients and letting the oven do the rest.

What I Wore – Football Match

As a season ticket holder at Luton Town Football Club I go to every home game and as many away as possible. However in the many seasons I have been following the club my outfit choices have changed fewer times than the managers!

More Birthday Stuff

As you may already know I celebrated getting a year older recently. And I was spoilt rotten!

Sunday, 18 August 2013

Luton Town V Macclesfield

A last minute goal gained Luton Town a point in their 1-1 draw against Macclesfield last night.

Another less than average performance meant a goal from Luke Guttridge in the 97th minute was the only thing Luton fans had to cheer about.

Birthdays, Birmingham And Burgers

As some of you may know I celebrated a birthday last Wednesday. Another year older and hopefully wiser, although this is yet to be tested or proven.

I was unaware of how to feel at this birthday, it wasn’t really a ‘big one’ (I turned 24) yet I still had the feelings that I should notice some major change with my change of age.

Body & Beauty Products

Recently I have been stepping outside of my comfortable Lush bubble and venturing into a range of different body and beauty products.

Lush will always be my ‘go to’ for the essentials that they do so well (and I am yet to find a better comparison) such as their massage bars, body scrubs and solid shampoo. But I am always looking out for new exciting, and potentially better, products.

What I Wore – Early Dinner Date

Trying to keep up with my What I Wore series and as today is my birthday I thought I would give you all a little look into what I wore out for dinner.

What A Difference A Gray Makes – Luton Town V Salisbury

Luton Town celebrated their first 3 points of the season with a 2-0 win over Salisbury.

Solomon Taiwo scored the Hatters first goal of the season in the 64th minute after a penalty was awarded to the Town for a foul on Gray.

What I Wore - Introduction and Working

I follow so many blogs that fall into loads of different categories, some into many and some into none!

And something I love seeing and reading are 'outfit of the day' style blog posts, partly because I'm nosey and love looking into other people's wardrobes and styles but also to get ideas and even steal some tips to change up my own wardrobe.

Sunday, 11 August 2013

Luton Town V Southport

Luton fans were left seeing red following their 1-0 defeat in the first game of the new season.

Hatters on the day captain Steve McNulty was sent off and Shaun Whalley missed a penalty against his former club in a game Luton just couldn't win.

Thursday, 8 August 2013

Luton Town Pre Season Round Up

Winning against Aston Villa & that 7-0 beating of Arsenal XI would be the obvious highlights of any Luton fans pre season.

However, seeing Hitchin Town painted orange, hearing thousands of fans chanting the new boys names and knowing we finally have Luton men capable of not only taking a corner but a penalty as well were some of my highlights.

Sunday, 4 August 2013

Luton Town V Arsenal XI

Luton Town 7 – 0 Arsenal XI.

Yes, you read that right. I’ll give you a minute to make that clear…

I AM A WIZARD

Today I got the letter I have waited 12 years for. Well, maybe not, but in my head it read just the same: “You are a wizard. You are going to Hogwarts…”

So that is exactly what we did.

Love Me, Love My Blog..

Whilst browsing some of my other favourite blogs I kept seeing a common denominator in the form of Bloglovin.

Bloglovin is a website (and app for all you smartphoners) where you can follow your most loved blogs and keep up to date with them all in one place.

And as I'm not a selfish soul I decided I would give all of you lovelies the same opportunity. I'm sure the only thing you want to be doing on your train journey home, bus ride to school or bored Wednesday evenings is read about me, my life, my loves and of course my Luton Town!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Burning Rubber

Today I had an unplanned trip to Silverstone to watch the F1 Young Drivers Test 2013.

Thursday, 18 July 2013

Luton Town V Hitchin

So, it felt like forever, but it’s that time again – football season is back.

And following a pre-season fitness week in Portugal all the Luton boys looked to be on top form in my first game this season.

Thursday, 23 May 2013

Gypsy Dancer

On Tuesday night I took my Mum to the theatre to see Gypsy at the Sharnbrook Mill Theatre.

We had front row seats; unfortunately they failed to tell us front row meant we were sat on the stage! I thought at one point I was going to be expected to join in with some high kicks and choruses of ‘Let me entertain you’.

Saturdays During Closed Season

As a Luton Town fan my season unofficially finished months ago, however the Blue Square Bet Premier finished just two weeks ago and I'm already looking forward to the pre-season friendlies!

I STILL BELIEVE

This week I went with Martin (the boyfriend) to see Frank Turner play his penultimate UK gig of the Recovery tour.

My First Time

So I’ve done it. I’ve been contemplating it since 2008 but I can tell you now I’ve done it.

Wednesday, 27 March 2013

Where Have I Been?

Firstly a MASSIVE sorry! I am missing reports from quite a few games lately. There is really no excuse other than my poor time management.

Saturday, 2 March 2013

The John Still Way

Luton’s new manager will take charge today following Tuesday’s defeat at Braintree where John Still ‘felt like a fan’ in the stands watching but being able to do nothing.

Tuesday, 26 February 2013

Still Pushing For Promotion

Luton Town have confirmed John Still as their new manager following his departure from league club Dagenham & Redbridge.

Tuesday, 19 February 2013

BREAKING NEWS - BUCKLE LEAVES LUTON TOWN

Luton Town have confirmed that manager Paul Buckle has left the club through mutual consent blaming personal reasons.

Sunday, 17 February 2013

Luton Town V Millwall FA Cup 5th Round

The Hatters saw the less romantic side of the FA Cup as they were knocked out of the 5th round in a 3-0 defeat from Millwall yesterday.

Sunday, 27 January 2013

Norwich V Luton Town – FA Cup 4th Round

The Hatters made history yesterday as Luton Town became the first ever non-league team to knock a premiership team out of the FA Cup taking them through to the fifth round.

Tuesday, 1 January 2013

Woking V Luton Town

It may be the start of a brand new year but it was a case of the same old game for Luton fans that made the trip to Woking today to see their team defeated 3-1.
